Wherever You Are, We're Here For You

Coaching and Counselling

Currently we are living in challenging and unprecedented times with many needing various types of support. Harry Edwards Healing Sanctuary would like to announce a further way in which we are endeavouring to support those who need it by facilitating a range of counselling and coaching services through professional friends of the sanctuary.

This small group of professionals are fully qualified and accredited in their discipline. All run their own practice and are aware of spiritual healing so clients can feel at ease discussing such things if relevant. Kindly our professional friends are offering their services and time for a donation - usual charges range from £45 - £333+ but for this period they are offering for a donation to the Sanctuary.. All donated money will go to the sanctuary to help support all the work we do. From February 1st we are able to offer counselling, bereavement counselling and coaching for a donation to the sanctuary per session and for a limited time.

To find out more and book please contact our Reception Team on 01483 202054 or email healingreception@burrowslea.org.uk

I have experienced an extensive spiritual development path, aware of energy at a young age. In the 1990’s I set about finding my true gifts and understand more of what I was feeling and experiencing.

I have found travelling the path of helping others to heal (and constantly dealing with my own issues on the way) has developed into a beneficial journey; one I feel comfortable with, as well as fulfilling and worthwhile on a natural level. Lucky enough to take unusual opportunities has enabled me to experience a very interesting life. I have also experienced sufficient personal trauma and bereavement to relate to most situations that people needing help, find themselves in.
Having developed and qualified in various forms of physical healing, I found I was able to help people heal with conversation as well. I have come to realise that bereavement and unresolved grief are possibly the biggest cause of emotional and mental challenges which can result in physical conditions, further down the line. Grief can be accumulative, unresolved in childhood increasing the likelihood of being unable to deal with bereavement and consequent life challenges later. Qualifying in Cruse Bereavement support as a volunteer has been rewarding, helping clients to move on which can often benefit their friends and family close to them; a whirlpool effect.

I then realised that I could help others outside Cruse if I qualified in Counselling and I chose an Integrative Counselling style advanced diploma course which incorporated most modalities/techniques. This gave me a good experience of various approaches to help individuals rather than just one type of counselling.

I have the following qualifications relevant to Counselling and healing training, and learning.

  • Reiki 1 – 1996
  • Reiki 2 – 1997
  • Reiki 3 (Master/Teacher Degree) 2007
  • Bowen Practitioner - 2000
  • NFSH Certificates (to Level 4) – 2004
  • Cruse Bereavement Support Volunteer certificate 2011
  • Itec Level 3 Diploma in Anatomy and Physiology (grade: Credit) - 2003
  • Diploma in Hypnotherapy & Counselling Skills – October 2014
  • Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Dip PC – 2016
  • Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Ad.Dip PC – March 2017
  • NLP Introduction and NLP Basics level 1

I am a performance and transformational coach and Harry Edwards Healer with over 15 years’ experience. A mental health first aider and hold a range of professional change and projects management qualifications. Often working with corporate clients, companies, and teams as well as private clients.

I feel privileged to have been part of the Harry Edwards sanctuary now for several years. First, as a student healer at the college then as a volunteer healer. Now I am pleased to able to support during these times as a professional friend to offer my services as a coach.
Above is a picture of me receiving my HEHS Healer Certificate from the college. Doing the board exam was one of the most nerve-wracking days of my life as it meant so much to me to become a HEHS healer. I have recently completed my master’s degree in behavioural change and coaching and would like to explore how to combine this with insights and learnings from spiritual development practices.

I work full time as a transformational coach and change agent - helping people, teams and companies adapt, grow, and implement all sorts of changes high and low. As a coach I love to help people reach their full potential and to become more of who they are meant to be. Working in a highly safe, playful, creative, open and reflective space this can enable a person to often access their own inner wisdom and insight which can be very illuminating and helpful for moving forward.

What is coaching and how can it be useful for you?

Coaching can be useful in many ways. In particular it can help you;-

  • gain more insights and awareness about yourself or a given situation to help grow, overcome and move forward.
  • gain fresh perspective on the area of focus by using a variety of different approaches and discussions. Unlike typical dialogic conversations using a variety of approaches can be extremely helpful at revealing your deeper thoughts and tap into the unconscious patterns
  • generate new thinking and fresh ideas and let go of what is not serving you.
  • move you forward if you are feeling stuck
  • revitalise your way of being by working at every level if that’s an area of focus. Often just by having a space to be fully you with someone who’s full intent is your highest good can be very restorative and helpful in offloading and letting go of anything no longer useful for you.

My coaching practice style

All sessions are client centred - working on any topic that is comfortable for the client in a range of ways for the purpose in hand. Always working with unconditional positive regard and the intent of your highest good. Sessions typically can be discussive, experimental using a range of non-discussive methods to solicit deeper understanding, meaning and insight. They can be creative and vary depending on what it is that is useful for the client. Often sessions are engaging and fun even with tough subject matter. They can be emotional and a safe space to release and offload unwanted things – therefore can have a therapeutic nature however as a coach I am not a therapist and will explain to the client if I feel this type of service may be more beneficial to them.
